My journey to the financial world began when I was just 17, with a job at a local CPA Firm in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, thanks to the recommendation of a High School Accounting Teacher. I was with that firm all through college and another year post-grad before moving to a CPA firm in Delaware where I obtained my certification. The time I spent in Public Accounting provided me with core financial knowledge from bookkeeping and tax preparation to audit work and financial statement preparation. These experiences helped launch me into the next step of my career in Fortune 500 Corporate Finance. While I was still young, I was able to enjoy the hustle and bustle of New York City working as Finance Manager - US Customer Service for Avon Products.
When I left that world behind, I took on the best job I ever had – raising my children. Then, just as I thought I would re-enter the workforce, I was presented with an offer to care for the newborn baby of one of my children’s teachers. This was the beginning of the second-best job I ever had – raising other people’s children! For 13 years, the teachers kept calling and I was blessed to have these very special little ones and their families in my life.
I have come full circle being back in a financial support capacity and couldn’t be more pleased to have landed at Macke Financial here in sunny SWFL. I greatly respect both Todd and Kevin, and the work we do here. I am proud to be part of this team. It is of utmost importance to me that I bring exceptional value to Macke Financial by providing our clients with outstanding service. I take great pleasure in seeing our clients succeed, especially when their plans and investments come together to meet their goals.
Outside of work, my family brings me immense joy. I have three young adult children – Hanna lives with me here in Cape Coral. I am fortunate that we spend a lot of time together. She has special medical needs so Macke Financial’s emphasis on work/life balance is important to us. -Luke is a Junior Financial Planner working towards entering Law School in Philadelphia. - My youngest, Adele, just received her BFA from Florida State as a Dance Major and is living in NYC. I spent many years as a Music, Football and Dance mom and loved every minute of it, but now I am excited to be cheering my children on into the next chapters of their lives. In my spare time, you can find me somewhere near the water, soaking up the sunshine –not shoveling snow.
